When you first founded Thigh Society, what was your mission with the brand?
Marnie Rabinovitch Consky: When I founded Thigh Society, I identified a real problem affecting women of all sizes — painful thigh chafing — that lacked a good solution. My goal was simple: create comfortable, high-quality long leg underwear that would allow women to move freely without discomfort, without the compression of shapewear or the inadequacy of makeshift solutions like powders or creams. I wanted an undergarment that actually worked: something breathable, moisture-wicking, cooling and lightweight. From personal experience, I knew thigh chafing wasn’t a "weight issue" — it affects women of all sizes. This led to my commitment to size inclusivity from day one and normalizing that chafe and sweat are things that all human bodies do.
The brand was born from my personal frustration, a "there has to be a better way" moment, that grew into a mission to empower women through practical comfort that would allow them to wear what they want and to do what they love without any distractions.
What have been some of your favorite milestones since then?
Being featured organically on The Today Show (twice!), in Oprah Daily and Wirecutter, and even being shouted out by a celebrity on the Oscars' Red Carpet!
Why isn’t Thigh Society sold on any other platforms like Amazon?
We get asked a lot why we're not on Amazon, and here’s the thing: it’s not that we can’t be on Amazon, it’s that we've intentionally chosen not to be. Why? Because we value a personal connection with our customers, and Amazon’s platform doesn’t allow us to tell the story of who we are or what we stand for.
We're more than just a functional and practical undergarment — we're wardrobe freedom! We’ve been around since 2009 and are the original brand that created size inclusive slip shorts for women that aren’t shapewear. Our shorties are high-quality and high performance. Unlike cheap dupes you’ll find on Amazon, our shorties are made of custom-knit fabric made with premium yarns. Those cheaper Amazon options might look similar at first glance, but trust us — they’re not the same.
Those knock-off brands you’ll find on Amazon use cheap and low-quality yarns that results in material that won't hold their shape throughout the day or be breathable or sweat wicking. They sag, roll, bag, or ride up, and their seams can be irritating. Their performance just doesn’t compare and neither does their fit. By comparison, our slip shorts are luxuriously soft and lightweight, and keep you cool, dry and comfortable all day without losing their shape.
We’re also the first brand to put a pocket in women’s underwear — our Cargo slip shorts have one! It’s little details like this that show the thought and care we put into all of our product designs. You’re not going to get that kind of durability from Amazon’s cheaper options.

You recently received an OEKO-TEX standard certification, what does that mean for Thigh Society?
Getting the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification is a big deal for us at Thigh Society because it reinforces our commitment to safe, skin-friendly fabrics. This certification means that every component of our slip shorts — down to the threads and dyes — has been rigorously tested for harmful substances and meets the highest safety standards. I've always believed that comfortable underwear should feel good in every way — not just on your skin, but in the peace of mind that comes with knowing it’s free from unwanted chemicals. This certification is just one more way we ensure our slip shorts are high quality, responsibly made, and truly designed with your comfort in mind.
