Well, to start, they’re silky smooth under any outfit. But more importantly, if you run hot—and are one of those people who’s constantly setting the thermostat to “meat locker” temperature—these are going to be a revelation.

They’re made of hi-tech fabric that lowers the body temperature. (If you want to get geeky about it, the flat cross-section of the yarn offers a wide surface area that quickly releases body heat from your skin.) The yarn texturizing process gives the shorts incredible breathability; the finished ultra-thin fabric is a breeze to wear, literally.

We’re glad you asked. Think of them as a combination between an old-school slip, a boxer brief and a bike short: They give you coverage under short or too-sheer outfits, stop your inner thighs from trying to start a forest fire, and light smoothing with no VPL (the word “panties” weirds us out, too). Plus, the knit-in cotton-rich crotch means you can wear them without underwear if you want, eliminating the need for an extra layer.

Love the cooling pants! I got a pair and they ripped (manufacture defect) 1st time, and I e-mail and got a new pair right away, no issues. They are comfortable and not too hot. I got a pair of the regular ones too and find them too hot. Definitely recommend the cooling shorts.

So good - Warm weather maternity staple!

These are amazing. I am superrrrr pregnant and live on the Gulf Coast, so it's already quite hot and humid. Gone are the days of my thigh gap, so these are the next best thing! Being hot and sweaty and having your thighs sticking together is nauseating. These cooling shorts are the solution. I debated on ordering now or waiting until after baby, but I'm so glad I went ahead and purchased. I sized up one to a medium and they fit great. Because I am roughly 100 weeks pregnant, I position the waistband under my enormous baby bump and it stays put. I think they'll be the perfect size postpartum as well. The legs don't roll up on me. I got the 7" inseam and it's great. If your dress is shorter, you can just hike the legs up a little and they stay where you put them. I plan on ordering at least one more pair so that I have a clean pair all the time. I see myself wearing these constantly all summer. 10/10 recommend!

Light but Rides up

Unlike others, mine ride up and therefore make them useless. Was really looking forward to loving these, possibly a size issue (purchased L-XL, maybe should have bought XL-2XL) but since returns aren’t an option, and they are expensive, I won’t be trying again. Materials is similar to tights, which is nice for warm weather. Had they stayed in place, I would have loved them and bought many more.
